Giclee Prints on Canvas

ClickLike offset lithographs, Giclée prints start with an original painting. A transparency of the original is scanned into a computer, where it can be color corrected, stored digitally and printed out as needed. Using pigment based inks, a series of tiny nozzles spray the canvas with a fine spray.  Because there are no line screens involved, Giclée prints have a higher resolution than offset lithographs, (about 1800 dots per inch) In offset lithographs each dot of color is encircled by white space, like in newspaper printing. In the Giclée process, however, inks are sprayed as droplets rather than dots; each droplet bleeds into the canvas creating a more continuous tone. The Giclée prints' inks are a pigment based ink, verses an ink which uses dyes, and have been tested for longevity and outlast most lithograph inks being used. The Pigment particles are larger then that of dye particles, and are hold color longer. The prints have shown to last 85-100 years without noticeable fading, assuming certain care factors are followed, allowing archival museum-quality prints.

Don't you just love how delicately this little bear is inching the feeder toward her?  This little Cinnamon colored Black Bear is about to have some sugar if the hummers will let her. Now you know if you’ve ever maintained a Hummingbird feeder, there are always ants. Notice them waiting
in the grass for the sugar drops to fall.

Be Still And Know That I Am God
Limited Edition of 95 signed and numbered - Giclee on canvas
8 x 10 inches.

When you are feeling vulnerable, rather than run in a panic, be still and trust  that you are in God’s hands.  He will guide you
and protect you.
As a Mother deer signals her fawn to be still in the forest to be safe.  We are told to do the same in Psalm 46 Verse 10
“Be Still and Know That I Am God”.

Sugar Bear
Limited Edition of 95 signed and numbered - Giclee on canvas
16 x 12 inches.
Last summer I was doing a show at the Tanner Gallery in Ruidoso, NM.  One
morning a bear took out all their hummingbird feeders and the next day
we saw a Mama Black Bear and two cubs cross the road and walk right through
the Gallery Parking lot headed for a little stream just behind the gallery.
What a sight! All of that inspired "Sugar Bear".   A baby Black Bear is raiding the
hummingbird feeder and boy are those little birds mad!

A large Grizzly Bear  against a star-lit sky with the constellations "Big Bear" and "Little Bear" or Ursa Major and Ursa Minor.  Two Grizzly bears  flank  both sides of the large bear. They are sweeping the cosmic dust with their giant paws and creating comets and colorful Nebula's that form the Star Bears.

The larger wolf, in the background, is from the original Candy Kitchen Wolf Rescue Center, that is now called Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary.  His name is Zeus and he is about 2 years old.  He is guarding the three wolves on the eagle feather.  Los Lobos is Spanish for “The Wolves”.

MANU
Limited Edition of 95 signed and numbered - Giclee on canvas 10 x 8 inches

Manu was severely abused by being tied in a yard to a tree and neglected. When he was brought to the rescue center, he was nearly dead. The vet said he had not more than a week left.  The people at the Candy Kitchen Wolf Rescue worked with him for months, restoring his physical health and working on his mental health. Wolves are by nature a social animal and Manu wanted nothing to do with people or wolves. Over a long period of time, various female wolves were introduced to him and he chased them away until one day they brought Sequoia into his pen. She was an Alpha female and did not tolerate his attitude. There was a click and it was love a last for good old Manu. No we know behind every successful Manu is a good woman.

The White Buffalo is a rare occurrence in nature and when one is born the Native
American cultures have considered it a sign of Peace.  White Spirit Buffalo is separated from its opposite brown buffalo by crystals that embody  Light, Peace and Love.  Everything is balanced by its opposite.  One cannot exist without the other.
