I had a show in the Palm Desert area of Southern California and had been reading about a concern for the population of Big Horn Sheep that were living in the mountains. Developers wanted to claim more of the area for commercial development and the wild life, in particular, the Big Horn Sheep were losing their breeding grounds. Shadows of the Future, shows the struggle of man verses the environment. The sheep in the background begin in a realistic concept and as they begin walking into the wall, each form becomes more primitive to he point of finally becoming only a Petroglyph on the wall. In the eye of the larger sheep, using a magnifying glass, a pueblo can be seen, complete with ladders and a Kiva. This is what man builds and if there isn't some form of balance, all that will be left of the animals is art on the walls.
