When I was in South Dakota at Artist Ride, I wanted to find the biggest, gentlest horse and the littlest, cutest girl and put them together to see what would happen. I struck pure GOLD! In my painting called Our Little Secret, Kellyn is having a private chat with Snowball. I think they are planning their next move.
The little girl in the following paintings is Kellyn and she is about 3 years old. The horse is named Snowball. She’s a 17 hands tall Paint mare that is almost all white. All I had to do was get my camera ready and let them go.
The wilder Kellyn got, the calmer Snowball became, until the horse was almost asleep.
